Building Carage: a smarter automotive services marketplace for Qatar
Carage is a mobile-first automotive services marketplace that connects car owners in Qatar with trusted garages and mobile service providers. OcttoApps developed the product end to end: product structure, design, development and launch.
The challenge
Take an idea, making it simple for a car owner to find a trusted provider, book the work and know what is happening to their car, and turn it into a complete marketplace that also works for the providers and the team running it.
The approach

Structure the product around two sides that work together: car owners on one, garages and mobile service providers on the other, with an operations layer between them.

Design every service around the same path, from request to matching, acceptance, tracking and completion, so scheduled appointments and emergency call-outs behave the same way.

Start focused, with a clear set of services, and build the categories, provider types and service areas so they can grow without rebuilding the product.

Outcome and current status
Carage launches with a focused set of services and the structure to add more. OcttoApps built the product itself: how it is structured, how customers and providers move through it, how the operations side supports both, and how it was designed, built and launched.
