A watch boutique dealing in high-value timepieces lives or dies on trust and presentation. Collectors spending five and six figures expect the same discretion, authentication and personal attention online that they receive in the salon — yet most retail platforms flatten a rare Patek or Rolex into a generic product tile with a price and an ‘add to cart’ button. That erodes the very exclusivity that justifies the price.
The brief was to translate the in-boutique experience into a digital one: a catalogue that feels like a private collection rather than a shop, a way for serious buyers to make discreet enquiries and reservation requests, and an appointment channel for private viewings — all while giving the owner real control over inventory, pricing and client relationships behind the scenes.
The system also had to solve a quieter operational problem. High-value stock moves slowly and is often reserved, held or sold off-platform through relationships. The team needed a single source of truth for what is available, reserved and sold, and a record of every collector, enquiry and preference so nothing depended on one person’s memory.
